“Delete, a term inherently associated with the digital landscape, can signify more than a mere technological purge. It can serve as an invitation to contemplate the ephemeral and the transformative.”
This pitch proposal explores a potential Beauty Papers x Chanel collaboration for the Issue #10 Delete, consisting of two editorial concepts. Proposal includes moodboards models, lighting, styling, attitude, mood references and hair and makeup.
‘Delete Forever’ draws inspiration the concept behind an ever-present duality of data; it can be obliterated by the ‘delete’ button, yet it can be brought back by a quick click. Thus, this concept explores the idea of digital limbo, a liminal space allowing the files to almost exist in two states simultaneously.
‘Catharsis’ contrary to the above concept, perceives ‘Delete’ as a reset, a sacred ritual for rebirth. Rooted in the idea of catharsis, a spiritual and transformative moment, the concept portrays the beauty in deletion as a catalyst for the emergence of the new, the 'bloom' of new life.
